Devol Devi

 Devol is a deity subjected to worship and belief in Sri lanka. He is one of the twelve deities worshiped in Sri lanka as 'Dolos Deviyo'  who are believed to be intervening in the affairs of the worldlings.  The practice of the worship of Devol deviyo or the cult of Devol is widespread among the Sinhalese, specially in the southwestern lowlands and coastal areas of the country. Devotees who make offerings at the shrines and perform rituals usually seek vengence, benevolece and prosperity form the deity to solve their day to day problems. The seenigama shrine consecrated to God Devol, on the Galle- Colombo main road located in close proximity to the Hikkaduwa town has became a popular destination of the devotees as well as the local and foreign tourists who visit Hikkaduwa  area.

Seenigama Devol Dewalaya

 

The Southern Province of Sri lanka is an area with a number of attractions. Among them the Historic Seenigama Devalaya is a place visited by thousands of locals and foreigners. Seenigama is most famous for the Seenigama dewalaya. Although God Dewol is worshipped by sri lankans ,he  is said to have come here form India. There are several legends associated with the God Dovel, according to the main folklore, a king named 'Raaamasinghe ". Who lived in the land called kuduppara in dambadiva in the past had seven hundred queens and seven of them were chief queens. Many people believe that this temple is a place of influence.

Facebook is down for six hour

 Facebook revealed in an official blog post on Monday evening that the six- hour outage across its platforms including Instagram, Messenger, Whatsapp  were caused by configuration changes to its routers. The company said these changes disrupted network traffic between the company's data centres. However it said it has no evidence yet that user data was compromised as a result of this downtime. It said the router conffiguration changes also impacted many of the internal tools and systems employees used in day-to-day operations complicating their attempts to quickly diagnose and resolve the problem. When facebook came back online some users  reported that were seeing login error code two, which the company uses to alert them to connection errors.

Teachers Day

Across the World, Teacher's day is a mark of respect in society among everybody. Teaching is one of the most respectable jobs with significant influence and various responsibilities. Teacher's day is one of the most memorable days in the life of a teacher and a student.  It is a day when teacher's unlike the entire year when they are working hard for several hours every day. Teachers are like magicians who use their magic wands to help us make our lives easier and more fruitful. The most important thing we must follow is to revere and value our incredible teachers. They have been our guiding spirts and role models and value our incredible teachers. they work during school hours as well as after school hours are over. Different school celebrate Teacher's day in different ways.

CHILDREN'S DAY

 Every year Children 's Day is celebrated on the 1 st October .Children become the happiness of the society and home as well as future of the country. We can not ignore their involvement and contribution in the life of parents, teachers and other related people all through the life. Children are liked by everyone and without children life become very boring and upset. They are blessed by the God and conquer our hearts with their beautiful eyes, innocent activities and smiles. Children 's Day is celebrated every year to pay tribute to all the children all over the world.

Kandy Esala Perahera

 Esala Perahera is the grand festival. It is very grand with elegant costumes. Happening in July or August in Kandy Depending on the Esala full moon. It has Become a unique symbol of Sri lanka. After the Kandyan Kingdom fell to the British in 1815, the custody of the Relic was handed over to the Buddhist Clergy. In the absence of the king,a lay custodian called the "Diyawadana nilame" was appointed to handle routine administrative matters. The randolo perahera begins after five nights of the Kumbal perahera. Randoli refers to palanquins on which the Queens of the ruling Kings Traditionally traveled. It is also five nights perehera and largrgest perehera, which goes around the streets of kandy, with more than 100 elephants. It is very important and beautiful procession.

Temple of the tooth

 Sir Dalada maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the City of Kandy ,Sri lanka. It is Located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri lankan kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple.
